What Should I Wear on a Mission?
When packing for a mission trip a question most people have is what should they wear? It is important to follow the guidelines provided in order to be sure you dress appropriately and respect those you are serving in a different culture. Leading up to your mission trip, you will be sent a guideline of what to wear under different circumstances. The three main settings you will need to consider, which apply to most circumstances you will experience are: in the house/community, going to church, and going to school.
In the House or Community
Dress comfortably with the potential of working outside.
Tops:
T-shirts
Long sleeve shirts
Hoodies
Once piece swimsuits
Bottoms:
Mid thigh or longer shorts
Jeans
Joggers
Shoes:
Walkable sandals (Chacos, Tevas, etc.)
Tennis shoes
Going to Church
Dress like you would go to church.
Tops:
Nice tops
Blouses
Button ups
Dresses
No t-shirts
Bottoms:
Skirts
Shorts mid-thigh
Slacks
No jeans

Sandals
Dressier shoes
Going to School
Dress presentably for classroom and playing.
