“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations…”

Who We Are

Developed in 2022, Go Missions is a christian based organization that encompasses a wide variety of needs in the South African community. We partner with Spear NPO based in South Africa and are passionate about building the relationship between the Kruger National Park and the neighboring communities in order to stop the poaching of rhinos, spread the good news of God, and to strengthen and help our local communities as a whole. We presently offer both long term and short term missions to a small community by the name of KaHoyi, near the Kruger National Park (KNP) in South Africa.

Our mission is to share the good news of Jesus Christ by building relationships through partnering with South African communities.

Our Mission Approach:

FAQ

We want you to feel informed about partnering with Go Missions. Below are a few frequently asked questions to let you get to know us better. You can read more about our overall mission and values on the About Us section of the website.

  • We currently offer 1 month and 3 month programs for young adults (ages 18-28) and 1-2 week trips for any age range.

  • Our monthly programs range in size from 3-15 individuals. Our short term teams can be anywhere from 3-20 people at a time.

  • We welcome all backgrounds of christian faith! We do not identify with one church, but rather as a christian community as a whole. If you love Jesus, want to grow in your faith, meet like minded people, and serve others then Go Missions is the place for you.

  • Go Missions is devoted to people. We believe that community and relationships come first and that everything else stems from those relationships. We look to empower people in the community with what they already have, fully integrate ourselves into their daily lives, and spread love like Jesus would.

 Monthly Missions

Leaving home for a month or 3 months is a big commitment, we get it! So we want you to feel great about joining one of our upcoming teams. Below are some frequently asked questions about our long term mission teams

  • 1 month and 3 month teams will have a minimum of 3 members and can have up to 15 team members.

  • We believe the best way to build community is by becoming part of the community. Our mission house is located in the center of the village that you will be working in, this will be your weekly base where the team will all stay together. Weekends may be accommodated outside of the village at other homestay locations based on your team's schedule.

  • Yes! We wouldn't send you anywhere we wouldn't go ourselves. Our mission house is equipped with security and has a gate around the premises, and you will be staying with leaders that know the area well.

  • All transportation and airfare is covered from the time that you meet at our designated departure area from the states, all food, housing, day trips, and project supplies are also covered. Things that you should bring spending money for include souvenirs, extra snacks you may want to purchase outside of our allotted meals, restocking toiletries or personal items that you may need, transportation to and from our meeting area in the states.

  • Our current community is a village by the name of KaHoyi, located in the northeast corner of South Africa and near the Kruger National Park. We serve in multiple capacities such as assisting in local schools, field work, work within the KNP, completing specific projects going at time of arrival, facilitating groups for faith and conservation based learning to young children, and building relationships with the community around you.

 Short Term Missions

  • No, our 2 week teams are designed for groups that are already premeditated and will be traveling together from one location. If you would like to sign up for a mission trip without a group we recommend checking out our 1 month or 3 month team missions.

  • A minimum of 4people is needed to organize a 2 week trip, and we can accommodate groups up to 20.

  • Our 2 weeks mission takes anyone from the age of 16 and up.

  • If your team has anyone under the age of 18, you must have the proper number of adult chaperones over the age of 21 to accompany minors. Groups of young adults from 18-20 do not need anyone over 21 to chaperone their group.

  • Go Missions staff will be onsite to facilitate and lead activities, but they are not responsible for supervision of minors on your team. If you have a youth or family mission trip team that includes team members under the age of 18, you will need to have adult chaperones to watch over them at all times. Adult chaperones must be present through all projects, meal times, activities, and all free times both at and away from the mission house.

  • A criminal background check (national and state) is required for all mission participants over the age of 18 in order to ensure the safety of all mission team members and community members.
